The British Automobile Racing Club-bannered Bishopscourt event is a unique two-day event for car racers in Northern Ireland, known for its challenging track also used for motorcycle races.
Originally used as part of the Cold War early warning system, Bishopscourt first hosted motor racing in the 1960s on its fast three-mile lap, before closing in the mid-1970s when the RAF base shut down.
The venue reopened 20 years later, primarily for bikers, until cars returned 11 years ago for an annual two-day event, now on a 1.8-mile circuit featuring the original fast Turns 1 & 2.
The event featured BOSS Ireland and Irish Formula Vee races, with notable performances from Cian Carey, Tony Greenan, and Colm Blackburn among others in their respective races.
Overall, the Bishopscourt event provides a special occasion for car racers to enjoy a historic and challenging track that has a unique place in Northern Irish racing history.
