Sebastien Ogier claimed his third win of the World Rally Championship season at Rally Italy Sardinia, despite a final-stage mistake that almost cost him the victory.
Ogier and co-driver Vincent Landais navigated the challenging gravel stages to secure an impressive win for Toyota, extending the team’s perfect start to the 2025 season.
In a tight battle with Hyundai’s Ott Tanak throughout the rally, Ogier pulled ahead in the final stages to finish 7.9 seconds ahead and secure the victory.
Toyota’s Kalle Rovanpera finished third on the podium, with championship leader Elfyn Evans in fourth, reducing his points lead over Ogier to 19 points.
Despite facing tough road conditions and not testing before the event, Ogier defied the odds to lead from the front and clinch his 64th career victory in the WRC.
