Rovanpera fully recovered from WRC Finland crash injuries
The championship leader, Kalle Rovanpera, had a rollover accident in stage eight, forcing him to retire from his home event, Rally Finland. Fortunately, he suffered no serious injuries but reported pain in his ribs and back. Due to his recovery, Rovanpera decided to skip a European Drift Masters event. After the WRC summer break, he returned to full fitness and participated in the pre-event Acropolis test. Rovanpera confirmed his readiness for the rally in Greece and acknowledged the cancellation of Thursday’s shakedown due to Storm Daniel, which adds uncertainty to the car set-ups and road conditions. Despite the challenges, he remained confident about the safety of the rain-affected Acropolis Rally.
