At the British Touring Car Championship race at Brands Hatch, Charles Rainford secured victory for the West Surrey Racing BMW team in the finale, becoming their third winner of the day.
Starting from third on the grid, Rainford quickly passed his teammate Jake Hill and pole-sitter Dan Rowbottom in just over one lap to take the lead.
Rainford’s decisive moves allowed him to maintain his position throughout the race, despite pressure from Hill who eventually finished second.
Tom Ingram, driving for Excelr8 Motorsport, gradually advanced to third place and set the fastest lap of the race as he closed in on Hill and Rainford.
Despite a strong effort from Ingram, Hill managed to hold on to second place, securing a 1-2 finish for the WSR BMW team, with Rainford claiming victory.
Other notable performances included Ash Sutton’s fourth-place finish and Chris Smiley’s impressive weekend showing for Restart Racing Hyundai.
