The Racing Bulls Formula 1 team is introducing a significant upgrade package at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, set to bring a new floor and bodywork, albeit with potentially smaller gains than expected. This marks the team’s first major upgrade for the 2025 season, with a special focus on aerodynamics, especially the crucial floor. Team principal Laurent Mekies expressed caution in making drastic changes after the lessons learned from last year’s Barcelona upgrade that backfired. In the highly competitive midfield, even small improvements could make a difference between qualifying rounds, emphasizing the incremental approach to upgrades. The team plans to evaluate the impact of the current upgrades by the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, considering the evolving dynamics of the 2025 season and the competitive field.
