Quartararo boosted by year-old Yamaha set-up in Catalan MotoGP race
Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo had a strong performance in the Barcelona Grand Prix, finishing seventh after starting in 18th place. He made the decision to revert to the settings he used last year, which provided him with a better pace. Quartararo was satisfied with his performance, as he was able to maintain a 10-second gap to the front rider during the race. He mentioned that this was not the first time he had struggled with his bike setup at this track, but going back to last year’s base was a good step. Quartararo also compared the aerodynamic fairings, using the older version in this race and planning to switch back to the newer version for the next race in San Marino. This comparison will provide valuable information for future development, especially with an important test coming up next Monday.
