Lando Norris maintained McLaren’s lead in the Imola leaderboard during Saturday’s third practice session for the F1 Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, with Max Verstappen in third.
With soaring track temperatures, teams were cautious in the session, with Norris setting the pace early on.
Verstappen eventually led the way by the halfway mark but was unable to improve in the later stages on soft tires.
Oscar Piastri impressed by clocking a lap just one tenth slower than Norris, while Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc also featured in the top 10.
The session concluded smoothly, with only a minor incident involving RB’s Liam Lawson in Tamburello.
Qualifying for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix will commence at 4:00 pm local time.
