At Santa Pod Raceway, the highly anticipated performance by Estonian racer Andres Arnover failed to shine against strong competition from three Dutch racers, with rain ultimately disrupting the outcome.
The Main Event featured a Pro Modified double-header, combining the opening round of the FIA European Pro Mod Championship with round two of the Motorsport UK British Drag Racing Championship. Arnover had previously dominated the Motorsport UK round one with record-breaking performance but faced challenges at Santa Pod.
Despite his recent success at Santa Pod’s Doorslammers race, where he achieved remarkable speeds and claimed victory, Arnover struggled to maintain his momentum at The Main Event with a new engine.
The Dutch racers, led by Marck Harteveld, took top qualifying positions, showcasing their competitive edge. Unfortunately, Arnover’s journey came to an end in the semi-finals due to unfavorable racing conditions caused by rain.
The event saw impressive performances, including Vegter’s quick elapsed time and Webster unexpectedly claiming the top speed. Despite the challenges faced, Arnover, Tooren, and Vegter remain committed to upcoming championship rounds, promising continued excitement for Motorsport UK.
