Brad Pitt expressed his desire to improve on his Formula 1 debut experience by hitting his 200mph target, falling just three miles per hour short during a run in Lando Norris’ 2023 McLaren car at Circuit of the Americas.
As part of a Testing of Previous Cars program for McLaren, Pitt, 61, got behind the wheel of an F1 car for the first time, receiving advice from Norris before hitting a top speed of 197mph and craving for more.
In an interview with the Beyond the Grid podcast, Pitt described the incredible sensation of driving an F1 car, likening it to a feeling of presence and downforce that he had never experienced before.
Despite starring in F1: The Movie alongside Damson Idris, who plays a racer based on F2 models, Pitt’s outing in an F1 car in Austin left him on a high, wanting to go back and beat his time.
The experience marked a significant step up for Pitt, who acknowledged the power, speed, and cornering abilities of the F1 car, expressing his eagerness to return and set a new personal record on the track.
