Aprilia has announced a private test with Jorge Martin at Misano on Wednesday for his MotoGP comeback preparations and potential return at the Czech Republic Grand Prix.
Aprilia initiated a new regulation allowing private testing for riders out injured for three or more grands prix, including Jorge Martin who missed multiple races due to injuries.
Jorge Martin, the reigning MotoGP world champion, underwent a medical exam and completed test sessions at Circuit de Barcelona to assess his readiness for a MotoGP return.
After ensuring his progress on an Aprilia RSV4 road bike, Martin will now transition to testing the MotoGP prototype at Misano ahead of his potential race reappearance.
The goal is for Martin to acclimate to the MotoGP bike’s power and characteristics and aim for a return at the Czech Republic GP, which is the last race before the summer break.
