Lando Norris topped the timesheets in a windy FP2 session at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, outpacing the Ferraris by a significant margin.
The ambient temperatures rose slightly between FP1 and FP2, with the track temperature remaining stable around 38C, allowing the Ferraris to show consistent pace from FP1.
Lewis Hamilton set the early pace on medium tires but was eventually eclipsed by Norris and the Ferraris during the qualifying simulation runs on soft tires.
Despite facing front-left issues, Charles Leclerc managed to challenge Norris for the top spot, with Hamilton closely behind him.
Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen completed the top 5, while Carlos Sainz encountered a spin due to a gust of wind, resulting in an investigation for rejoining the track unsafely in front of Nico Hulkenberg.
Overall, it was a competitive FP2 session setting the stage for an exciting British Grand Prix weekend.
