IndyCar: Mid-Ohio: Dixon pounces on late Palou error to take victory

Alex Palou’s late mistake allowed Scott Dixon to claim victory in the IndyCar Mid-Ohio round for Chip Ganassi Racing.

Dixon’s strategic two-stop plan propelled him into contention, ultimately seizing the lead from Palou after the latter’s error.

Despite Palou’s dominance this season with six wins, Dixon secured his first victory of the year, becoming the third different winner in the 2025 season.

Palou’s lead in the championship standings extended, now 113 points ahead of Kyle Kirkwood with seven races left.

Team Penske faced a disastrous race, with both Josef Newgarden and Will Power retiring due to incidents, further contributing to their struggles this season.
