Hyundai is determined to secure its first win of the 2025 World Rally Championship campaign at Rally Italy Sardinia and is ready to face the consequences of pushing for victory. The team faces pressure to end Toyota’s perfect winning streak this year at a rally where Hyundai has only been beaten twice since 2016. Ott Tanak of Hyundai is 11.1s behind Toyota’s Sebastien Ogier heading into the final stages on Sunday, still within striking distance of victory after a challenging Saturday. The team’s technical director, Francois-Xavier Demaison, emphasizes the need to push and mentions the unpredictable nature of rallying. Tanak plans to maintain his rhythm from Saturday and continue pushing for the win against Ogier, who is also prepared for a tough battle on the final day. Toyota team principal Jari-Matti Latvala praises Ogier’s abilities in managing difficult conditions and expects Sunday’s stages to present further challenges for the drivers.
