Martin desires to leave Aprilia by invoking a clause in his contract at the end of 2025 due to dissatisfaction with the team’s performance. Puig acknowledges Martin as a desirable rider but emphasizes Honda’s policy of not signing riders with existing contracts. Despite interest, Honda also considers Johann Zarco, who aims for a factory team seat after strong performances in 2025. Puig hints at the potential of expanding Honda’s presence on the grid to six bikes for next season but clarifies the final decision rests with Japan.
