Honda MotoGP boss "confused" by "good improvements" not working
The Japanese manufacturer has had a disappointing start to the new campaign with its radically overhauled RC213V package, scoring only eight points out of a possible 111 in the first three rounds. None of the Honda riders have cracked the top 10 in either sprint or grand prix so far. At the Americas Grand Prix, only Luca Marini finished the race, lagging 33.529 seconds behind the winner on a track where Honda had triumphed just a year earlier with Alex Rins. Despite efforts by the Honda team, progress seems to have stalled since last November’s Valencia test, leaving team principal Alberto Puig feeling bewildered by the lack of on-track performance improvements. Joan Mir criticized Honda’s direction with the RC213V concept this season, calling the situation desperate and urging the team to take responsibility and work hard to overcome their current challenges.
