Lewis Hamilton praised Ferrari’s work rate and unity after achieving his best qualifying result with the team at the Austrian Grand Prix, where he is set to start fourth.
Despite facing challenges during practice, Ferrari introduced a new floor which boosted performance in qualifying, placing Hamilton on the second row alongside his teammate Charles Leclerc starting alongside polesitter Lando Norris.
Hamilton, who secured victory in the sprint race at Shanghai, noticed an issue on his final run but remains pleased with the team’s progress as they aim to recover from a series of disappointing races.
Acknowledging the operational improvements, Hamilton emphasized the team’s cohesive efforts and determination to block out distractions and focus on their goals amidst speculations in the Italian press regarding team principal Fred Vasseur’s future.
