Sky Sports pundit Bernie Collins and Aston Martin Formula 1 team sporting director Andy Stevenson have been appointed trustees of the Grand Prix Trust, founded by Jackie Stewart in 1987 to support F1 personnel facing hardships.
Martin Brundle leads the organization, with trustees including Patrick Head, Ross Brawn, and Jonathan Wheatley.
Collins, a former Aston Martin head of strategy, and Stevenson, a long-serving team member since their debut in 1991, were warmly welcomed by Brundle for their expertise and dedication to the sport.
Collins expressed feeling privileged to join the board and contribute positively, while Stevenson noted the importance of supporting those who work behind the scenes in motorsport.
The Grand Prix Trust not only aids those with F1 experience but also offers a bursary fund to help underprivileged children pursue careers in the industry.
