Bourdais: Cadillac has no chance to win Le Mans 24 Hours despite pole position

Sebastien Bourdais believes Cadillac’s chances for a top-five finish at the Le Mans 24 Hours are slim, despite their 1-2 grid position in qualifying. Cadillac Jota secured the top spots in Hyperpole, outperforming other competitors significantly. Bourdais expressed concern over rivals potentially sandbagging and the impact of Balance of Performance rules on their performance.

While Cadillac showed strong long-run pace in free practice, their top speed was lacking compared to Porsche and Ferrari in Hyperpole. Despite expectations of Ferrari and Toyota to perform better, they will start further back on the grid. Bourdais criticized Ferrari’s performance and expressed doubt about Cadillac’s chances in the race.

With little hope for a podium finish due to stiff competition from Ferrari and Toyota, Bourdais remains cautious about his team’s prospects in the upcoming race.
