Aston Martin to make track-day version of Valkyrie Le Mans Hypercar

Aston Martin introduces a new track-day version of its Valkyrie Le Mans Hypercar, which is said to be nearly identical to the race car.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie LM Hypercar maintains the same maximum power output of 520kW from its 6.5-litre V12 engine as the cars competing in the World Endurance Championship and IMSA Sportscar Championship.

According to Aston’s head of endurance motorsport, Adam Carter, the differences between the two versions are minimal to ensure the non-homologated variant is accessible for customer enjoyment.

Features of the Valkyrie LM include the removal of FIA-regulation electronics, a bespoke cockpit interface for track days, and the use of Pirelli tires instead of Michelin.

Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark emphasizes that the Valkyrie LM offers an unparalleled track experience and technology comparable to the Hypercar racing in WEC and IMSA.

Limited to only 10 vehicles, the Valkyrie LM owners will have the opportunity to participate in exclusive track events and a driver development program supported by Aston Martin.

Overall, Aston Martin aims to provide a unique, immersive, and high-performance driving experience for a select group of owners through the Valkyrie LM, priced at approximately $5 million USD.
