Williams Formula 1 driver Alex Albon has requested a review of the team’s decisions following the elimination of both cars in Q2 at the British Grand Prix qualifying.
The team was already struggling with reliability issues after a double DNF in Austria and faced disappointment at their home race, with Albon qualifying 14th and teammate Carlos Sainz in 11th, although a penalty for Oliver Bearman boosted their positions.
Albon expressed frustration over the team’s tire strategy during qualifying, stating that they need to analyze their decision-making process.
Sainz commented on the tight midfield battle and how other teams have made strides forward, making it challenging for Williams to break into the top positions.
Both drivers highlighted the need for improved performance as the season progresses and acknowledged the importance of addressing issues to remain competitive in the midfield.
