Acropolis Rally issues weather warning to WRC crews
The clerk of the course issued a weather warning due to heavy rain expected during the rally in the Lamia and Loutraki regions. The rain could disrupt the reece on Tuesday and Wednesday. The rally is scheduled to start on Thursday in Lamia and consists of 14 rough gravel stages in the same areas. Competitors were advised to secure their tents and constructions in the service park and be prepared for severe weather conditions. Prior to the rally, wildfires caused disruptions in pre-event testing for the Toyota and Hyundai teams, but they managed to complete their tests. Kalle Rovanpera currently leads the standings with a 25-point lead.
