Charles Leclerc ‘on edge’ after unwanted Ferrari F1 ‘discovery’ fight
Charles Leclerc has described his final lap in Monaco Grand Prix qualifying as “on the edge” due to challenges with his Ferrari F1 car.
Despite a mistake on his first Q3 lap, Leclerc managed to secure provisional pole position for his home race on his second attempt.
However, he later slipped to fourth place and collided with the wall at Tabac, ending his session with car damage and ongoing difficulties.
Following struggles in Canada, Leclerc expressed frustration with the inconsistent feeling of his brakes, which persisted into the Monaco race weekend.
The Ferrari driver emphasized the significant impact of fine details and the constant battle to keep the car in the right performance window.
Leclerc acknowledged that while his final lap was strong, he lost control due to dirty air effects, highlighting the challenges he faced during the qualifying session.
