Kimi Antonelli secured his fourth pole position of the season in the Monaco Grand Prix.
Kimi Antonelli described his pole-position lap at the Monaco Grand Prix as a “magic lap” following a fierce battle with Max Verstappen. Despite a tough start at the Circuit de Monaco, Antonelli showed strength on Saturday. He gained momentum through each qualifying round, holding a mere 0.001s lead over Verstappen after the first runs in the final session. With Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton surpassing him initially, Antonelli delivered a remarkable final lap to secure pole with a time of 1m 12.051s, just edging out Verstappen by 0.043s. The tight battle for pole made Antonelli’s achievement even more rewarding, setting the stage for what could be a career-defining moment for the young driver. Antonelli credited his team for their crucial role in bouncing back from a challenging start to ultimately claim pole position in Monaco.
