Lewis Hamilton scored his best result as a Ferrari driver after opting against using a crucial aid.
Lewis Hamilton has explained why he stopped using Ferrari’s F1 simulator, referring to his “old school nature.” He decided to abandon the simulator after the Miami GP, feeling it led him in the wrong direction for the race. Hamilton asserted he wouldn’t use the simulator before the Canadian GP, a decision he felt was validated by his third-place finish in China without utilizing it. Despite his strong second-place finish in Montreal, Hamilton stated he might use the simulator again for correlation purposes only, but not for race preparation. The seven-time champion emphasized his preference for an “old school” approach and highlighted the risks associated with simulator use, citing his past successes without relying on it. Ultimately, Hamilton views the simulator as a powerful tool but expresses his belief that he performs better without it due to his traditional mindset.
