Max Verstappen makes ‘crazy’ point after messy start to F1 season

Max Verstappen experienced an incident-filled and compromised start to the campaign until the F1 paddock reached the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Max Verstappen emphasized that the Canadian Grand Prix was the first race this season where nothing out of the ordinary occurred for him. Despite a challenging start to the F1 season, he secured his first podium finish of the year with a third place in Montreal. Verstappen has struggled with the RB22’s performance, feeling unsettled in the cockpit and unable to maximize the car’s potential. Even though progress was made in Miami with car updates, it seemed to have regressed in Canada. McLaren’s strategic errors and George Russell’s power unit issue allowed Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton to battle for second place, ultimately won by Kimi Antonelli. Verstappen and Hamilton relished the close duel, with the former acknowledging it as a strong and enjoyable race.
