Red Bull bagged its first podium of the season last time out at the Canadian Grand Prix.
Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies emphasized the team should not become overly excited about their performance at the Canadian Grand Prix. Despite a challenging start to the season, Max Verstappen secured third place in Montreal, marking Red Bull’s first podium finish of the year. The team’s recent performance showcased progress following the introduction of a new upgrade package. Mekies expressed satisfaction with the validation of the upgrade introduced in Miami, indicating a positive direction for Red Bull. Despite competitors like Mercedes and McLaren introducing substantial upgrades, Red Bull remained competitive, indicating promising potential for the RB22 and development progress. Mekies concluded that the team’s performance in Montreal affirms they are on the right path with their development efforts.
