Liam Lawson crossed the line in seventh place in Canada on Sunday, matching his best result of the season.
During the Canadian Grand Prix weekend in Montreal, Liam Lawson faced significant challenges due to technical issues that limited his track time to just five laps before sprint qualifying.
Unable to resolve the problem in time, Lawson missed the sprint qualifying session and started Saturday’s race with minimal preparation.
Despite these obstacles, Lawson managed to secure a points finish in the race, crediting his team’s efforts to rebuild the car and his own resilience during a tough weekend.
Although he narrowly missed out on a top 10 spot at the start of the main race, Lawson benefited from retirements to secure a strong finish, holding off Pierre Gasly.
Reflecting on the experience, Lawson described the weekend as “crazy” and highlighted the difficulties he faced, ultimately emphasizing his satisfaction with the outcome given the circumstances.
