Super Formula has announced a replacement race for last month’s Autopolis round to be added to the Fuji event in July due to treacherous weather conditions. The decision was made during a press conference ahead of this weekend’s fourth and fifth rounds at Suzuka. The rescheduled race will be held as a sprint race on Sunday morning over 25 laps with no mandatory pitstops. The race will earn reduced points according to the new regulations for the 2026 season. As a result, reigning champion Ayumu Iwasa will start from pole position in the replacement race at Fuji, with Kakunoshin Ohta leading the championship standings.
