Mercedes is no stranger to heated intra-team battles, and George Russell and Kimi Antonelli have come to blows during the sprint at the Canadian Grand Prix.
Kimi Antonelli called for a penalty for George Russell in the sprint at the Canadian Grand Prix for pushing him off track. The incident occurred in the first corner of the 24-lap race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve after Antonelli’s ambitious move. Antonelli expressed his displeasure over radio, claiming Russell did not give him enough space on the corner exit. The Italian driver dropped to third behind Lando Norris after the incident. Toto Wolff advised Antonelli to focus on driving rather than complaining over the radio. Russell and Antonelli’s clash added drama to the race.
