While the car was safely recovered, Lawson will head into Sprint qualifying with minimal track time, possibly facing further repercussions upon meeting with the officials. The incident was flagged by FIA’s technical delegate Jo Bauer due to a malfunction in the Clutch disengagement system, as outlined in Article C9.3 of the F1 Regulations.
