Liam Lawson has endured a disastrous Friday in Montreal, and it might be about to worsen!
Liam Lawson is under a stewards’ investigation for stopping during practice at the Canadian Grand Prix, causing a red flag. The issue, suspected to be a hydraulics problem, forced Lawson to stop at Turn 2 just 12 minutes into the session. While the car was safely recovered, Lawson will head into Sprint qualifying with minimal track time, possibly facing further repercussions upon meeting with the officials. The incident was flagged by FIA’s technical delegate Jo Bauer due to a malfunction in the Clutch disengagement system, as outlined in Article C9.3 of the F1 Regulations. Failure to comply with the requirement may lead to penalties for Lawson and Racing Bulls team.
