However, shortly after Verstappen passed the car to Dani Juncadella, they encountered a puncture and ABS failure, leading to a lengthy pit stop. A driveshaft problem was later identified, causing a significant delay before returning to the circuit for the final lap. This unfortunate turn of events resulted in the loss of a potential victory and a good finishing position. Despite the setback, Verstappen expressed gratitude for the team, his teammates, and the track supporters, emphasizing that such setbacks are part of racing.
