Bracing for Chaos: Unpredictable Weather Challenges Await at Nurburgring 24 Hours

In collaboration with WeerOnline, RacingNews365 presents the weather forecast for all four days of action of the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

Max Verstappen is set to make his debut in the Nürburgring 24 Hours with changeable conditions and occasional heavy showers during qualifying. The area will be noticeably cold, with temperatures failing to reach double figures, and dropping even lower when showers pass through, possibly with thunderstorms and hail. Most showers are expected on Thursday, while Friday will not stay dry throughout, with westerly winds especially strong on Thursday. Nights will be bitterly cold, dropping to just below freezing before the race starts at 3 pm local time on Saturday [2 pm BST].

Saturday will see a potential for showers during the race’s first few hours, remaining chilly with temperatures not surpassing nine degrees, a far cry from the typical mid-May temperature of 17 degrees. The sun is expected to show in the afternoon and evening, yet the night will be cold with minimum temperatures barely above freezing. Sunday morning will also be cold but dry, with no rain forecast for the final hours of the race, and bright sun shining. Temperatures will rise slightly, reaching about 12 degrees at the 3 pm finish, still cooler than usual.
