Sergio Perez has a crystal clear area in mind for Cadillac to focus on.
Sergio Perez believes the biggest issue Cadillac must address to stay competitive in F1 is how the MAC-26 chassis uses its tires. Despite a respectable performance in the first four grands prix, Cadillac has been battling not to finish last, ahead of Aston Martin with both teams yet to score. In Miami, both Astons out-qualified both Cadillacs for the first time, with Perez finishing 16th, just behind Fernando Alonso in 15th. Cadillac introduced a significant upgrade in Miami, and Perez emphasized the need to understand and improve tire degradation for better performance in upcoming races. While acknowledging the tight timeframe for improvements, Perez highlighted the importance of team collaboration in implementing solutions to enhance performance in the short term.
