Controversial Penalty for Kimi Antonelli Shakes Up Miami Sprint Race

Kimi Antonelli’s fourth-place finish from the Miami Grand Prix Sprint race was scrubbed after the penalty.

Kimi Antonelli was stripped of his fourth-place finish in the Miami Grand Prix Sprint race after receiving a post-race FIA penalty. Despite crossing the line in fourth on the road, Antonelli was investigated for breaching track limits and received a five-second time penalty for his fourth violation. This penalty dropped him to sixth in the final classification, moving George Russell and Max Verstappen up a position each. As a result, Antonelli’s lead over Russell in the championship standings shrunk from 10 points to seven, with Antonelli now holding 75 points to Russell’s 68.
