Lucas di Grassi, current Lola Yamaha ABT Formula E driver, will retire from motorsport at the end of this year.
Formula E legend Lucas di Grassi has announced that he will retire from motorsport at the end of the year, following the London season finale in August.
Known as ‘Mr Formula E,’ di Grassi has been a pivotal figure in the championship since its inception in 2014, participating in almost every race.
Aside from Formula E, the Brazilian has also competed in Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship during his career.
He won the Formula E championship in its third season and achieved his most recent podium finish in Miami last season.
Although retiring as a professional racing driver, di Grassi will continue to support Lola Yamaha ABT in the development of Gen4 cars.
