Stella’s comments follow Piastri’s impressive second-place finish at the Japanese Grand Prix in the recent round of the season.
The Australian driver faced initial setbacks this year, missing the first two races due to pre-race issues.
Piastri showcased strong pace and resilience in bouncing back to reach the podium at Suzuka.
Stella noted that Piastri’s performance showed significant growth and highlighted his mental strength.
Piastri’s ability to recover from early-season challenges, including a pre-race crash at his home event, was also acknowledged by Stella.
Despite the setbacks, Piastri’s determination and improved performance have earned well-deserved recognition from his team principal.
