Cadillac has spent the opening F1 weekends of the season getting up to speed – but now it is targeting steps forward.
Sergio Perez is hopeful that Cadillac will introduce a significant car upgrade for the upcoming Miami round, considering it the biggest test for the team as they adapt to Formula 1. The current five-week break allows all teams to develop before the season resumes. Perez acknowledges Cadillac’s lack of experience but sees the potential for improvement as they learn from competitors like Williams and Alpine. The team aims to find substantial lap time to be competitive, particularly focusing on low-speed performance. Miami, hosting round four in May, will be crucial for Cadillac to showcase progress and close the gap with the midfield.
