The Mexico City GP last season offered a moment Oliver Bearman will never forget.
Oliver Bearman recently shared that he experienced “goosebumps” during his first battle against Max Verstappen at the Mexico City Grand Prix last season. Despite starting from the back of the top 10, Bearman achieved his best result of his rookie year with a fourth-place finish at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. During the race, Bearman made a remarkable move on Verstappen at Turn 4, standing out as one of the most memorable overtakes of 2025. This positioned Bearman ahead of four-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, as well as Oscar Piastri and George Russell. Verstappen ultimately passed Bearman to claim the final podium spot, leaving the young driver in awe of competing against such iconic names in the sport. Reflecting on the experience, Bearman expressed joy in battling the Red Bull driver and highlighted the surreal feeling of having Verstappen hunt him down on track.
