Formula E star Nick Cassidy is set to join Peugeot’s World Endurance Championship Hypercar squad for the 2026 season, as part of a broader deal with Peugeot parent, Stellantis. Cassidy, a former Envision and Jaguar FE driver, is likely to race for the team known as Maserati MSG Racing in FE in 2025/26. Transitioning to the pinnacle of sportscar racing, Cassidy previously competed in WEC in the GTE AM class and Super GT in Japan. Peugeot Sport technical director Olivier Jansonnie expressed excitement about Cassidy’s addition to the team, emphasizing his experience, technical approach, and speed. Cassidy will have his first experience with the Peugeot 9X8 2024 Le Mans Hypercar during a multi-manufacturer test at Austin, following the upcoming WEC round at the North American venue. The confirmation of Cassidy’s signing followed a cryptic Instagram exchange with Peugeot after his departure from the Jaguar FE team, signaling a significant revamp of Peugeot’s driver lineup for the upcoming WEC season.
