Racing Star Charles Leclerc’s Candid Confession: ‘I’ve Been Very Poor’ in Qualifying

Charles Leclerc expressed deep disappointment with his qualifying performance at the Dutch Grand Prix, finishing in sixth place and struggling throughout the weekend, while Ferrari continues to struggle behind McLaren in the 2025 season.

Despite making changes to the car, Leclerc could not improve his position and felt he underperformed, especially in qualifying where he was 0.678s behind the polesitter Oscar Piastri.

Leclerc admitted to being on the back foot the entire weekend and feeling like he was chasing something that wasn’t there, leading to a lack of consistency and poor performance.

In contrast, teammate Lewis Hamilton was more optimistic about his own seventh-place qualifying result, seeing it as progress after recent struggles in qualifying sessions.

Hamilton noted the need for Ferrari to improve their cornering speed and downforce to match McLaren’s performance, emphasizing the importance of understanding and addressing the team’s limitations.
