After finishing 12th at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton hinted at a “not great” state of affairs in the background, following earlier comments suggesting Ferrari should “change driver.” Hamilton expressed that his driving was the key issue behind his struggles in 2025. Despite attempting a one-stop strategy, Hamilton made little progress in the midfield pack during the race, finishing behind Isack Hadjar. When asked to clarify his comments, Hamilton responded cryptically, mentioning that there were issues in the background. Hamilton stressed that he still loves racing, despite the challenges he faced at the Grand Prix. Verstappen passed Hamilton during the race, prompting a steward investigation, but both drivers expressed that no contact occurred. Hamilton did not visit the stewards’ room to discuss the incident with Verstappen post-race.
