Iconic McLaren Masterpieces Hit the Market: A Collector’s Dream Auction

A unique and exclusive collection of 20 McLaren road cars previously owned by Mansour Ojjeh, the late French-Saudi entrepreneur and former McLaren shareholder, is now available for sale. Tom Hartley Jr, a renowned classic car dealer, has been tasked with managing this exceptional sale, following his recent success with Bernie Ecclestone’s record-breaking collection of historic Grand Prix and Formula 1 cars earlier this year. Each of the 20 cars represents the final chassis number of its model, including iconic McLaren cars like the Speedtail, P1, Senna, and the legendary F1, which is considered the highlight of the collection due to its unique “Mansour Orange” color.

Aside from limited usage on track days, most cars have never been driven and are in pristine factory condition, meticulously maintained by McLaren themselves, a level of service unprecedented for any collector. Under Ojjeh’s leadership, McLaren achieved numerous championships and played a critical role in the brand’s innovation and engineering excellence. Mansour’s widow, Kathy Ojjeh, emphasized the deep emotional connection Mansour had with McLaren, and how this collection embodies his passion and meticulous attention to detail. The collection’s sale is a significant event, offering a rare opportunity for a new owner to preserve and appreciate the legacy left by Mansour Ojjeh and McLaren Racing.
