Warburton’s Caldwell Formula Ford is a rare and historic car that made its mark in the racing world back in 1969, winning the SCCA National Formula Ford Championship at Daytona with Skip Barber at the wheel. Andy Warburton’s D9B, one of these rare cars, became his first race car after he bought it in California and brought it to the UK, where it turned into a project for him and his son. Warburton and his son Max now share the car in well-supported championships, with Max proving to be quicker on the track. The Tustings’ Lenham P69 Spider, another star car, has been a regular winner in the Guards Trophy races, boasting a Lotus twin-cam engine and a successful racing history. Both father-and-son duos have had memorable races with their unique and cherished vehicles, showcasing the passion and competitiveness in historic racing.
