Ex-Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica discussed the persistent gearbox issues his Ferrari encountered during the Le Mans 24 Hours victory, noting that the car was pushed to its limits. Despite the challenges, Kubica, alongside Phil Hanson and Yifei Ye, triumphed in the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P LMH, battling with factory sister cars throughout the race. The team had to overcome gearbox problems that persisted for the entire 24 hours, forcing them to adjust their driving style to compensate for the issue. Despite the tough race conditions, Kubica managed to pilot the Ferrari to victory, completing a hat-trick of wins for the team. This win was particularly special for Kubica after narrowly missing out on victory in 2021, highlighting the emotional significance of achieving success at Le Mans.
