Revolutionizing Perfection: McLaren Unveils Futuristic 2027 LMDh Show Car and Track-Ready Model

McLaren unveiled a full-scale model of its LMDh prototype for the WEC Hypercar class that’s set to debut in 2027, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of its Le Mans victory with the F1 GTR.

Alongside the racing model, McLaren announced plans to sell a track-day version of the LMDh as part of Project Endurance, offering customers a chance to own an authentic Hypercar experience.

The track-day car, powered by the same twin-turbo V6 engine as the racing prototype, is being developed in collaboration with Dallara.

McLaren Racing oversees the car’s development, while McLaren Automotive will handle sales and support, with a targeted production of 10 units available in limited numbers.

The customer programme includes a two-year track-day event package, allowing owners to get up close and personal with their purchases on circuits.

McLaren joins the likes of Ferrari and Aston Martin in offering track-day versions of their WEC Hypercar contenders, continuing to build excitement for the brand’s return to top-flight sportscar racing in the World Endurance Championship.
