Formula 1 has decided not to hold a group season launch for its 2026 campaign, as reported by Motorsport.com.
In 2025, a unique season launch was held at the O2 Arena in London to mark the championship’s 75th anniversary.
The event was a success, drawing 1.1 million live viewers on YouTube and 7.5 million viewers overall, but it will not be repeated for the 2026 season.
Factors behind this decision include the one-off nature of the 2025 celebration and the upcoming regulation changes necessitating extensive testing and preparation for the teams.
FOM is considering reviving the event in the future, potentially in different cities and markets globally instead of an annual occurrence.
