Red Bull’s Rising Star: Arvid Lindblad Secures Coveted F1 Superlicence Approval from FIA

The FIA approved Red Bull’s request for Arvid Lindblad to receive an FIA superlicence before he turns 18. Typically, Lindblad would have had to wait two more months until he reaches the minimum age requirement for the licence. Red Bull utilized a clause in the FIA’s International Sporting Code to seek an exemption for the talented F2 driver. The request was approved at the FIA’s World Motor Sport Council meeting in Macau. Lindblad’s approval allows him to be an additional F1 reserve driver for Red Bull and Racing Bulls ahead of schedule. This decision is unrelated to Max Verstappen’s penalty points situation, as Lindblad’s performance in single-seater cars has shown outstanding ability and maturity.
