Italy is set to host a round of the World Rally Championship and European Rally Championship in the future with plans for a long-term commitment.

Italy has been a consistent host for WRC events on rough gravel roads since 2004, with Rally Monza joining in 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic restrictions.
Discussions at the recent Rally Italy Sardinia aimed at securing Italy’s spot on the WRC schedule from 2026 onwards.
There are considerations for Rally Di Roma to potentially move to the WRC, requiring logistical adjustments and a shift from its current rally base in Fiuggi.
The WRC is looking to expand its calendar by adding new events like the USA, with ongoing negotiations and plans to finalize the 2026 schedule by July.
