Morbidelli slams Espargaro after “unfair” British MotoGP crash

In the opening lap of MotoGP’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Aleix Espargaro and Franco Morbidelli were involved in an incident that led to Espargaro retiring from the GP. Morbidelli expressed that he could have been more critical of the Honda rider, showing ongoing tensions between the two.

During the race, Espargaro lost control of his bike and collided with Morbidelli after the initial start, causing Morbidelli to collide with spilled oil from his own Ducati. Fortunately, Morbidelli was able to rejoin the race after the red flag.

Morbidelli finished in fourth place, bringing some consolation but not erasing the issues with Espargaro, whom he accused of having a personal vendetta against him.

Following the incident, Morbidelli continued to criticize Espargaro’s conduct, emphasizing that the test rider should have been more mindful and professional in his racing approach.

Despite the fractured foot he sustained in the incident, Morbidelli appreciated his recovery and strong finish in the race, even battling with Marc Marquez for a podium position in the final laps.
