Thrilling Race Day: Ninovic Takes Lead, Slater’s Epic Comeback Steals the Show at Spa

Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Ninovic emerged as the new GB3 Championship leader after securing victory in the opener at Spa-Francorchamps, while Hillspeed’s Freddie Slater made an impressive comeback from last on the grid to win race three.

The disrupted first qualifying session saw Slater stop on track early on, resulting in him and Hitech’s Deagen Fairclough starting from the back of the grid for all races. Despite this, Ninovic’s win in race one elevated him to the top of the standings.

The second race saw Japanese driver Kanato Le claim victory after a slow start, with Ninovic finishing in third place. Slater made his mark in the final reversed-grid race by storming from 23rd to first on slick tires, showcasing an incredible performance.

With his two podium finishes at Spa, Ninovic now leads the championship ahead of Patrick Heuzenroeder and Deagen Fairclough. The series provided thrilling racing and unexpected outcomes throughout the weekend at the iconic circuit.
